The Blotter: Clark Man Arrested for DWI, Two ShopRite Shoplifters, Criminal Mischief to Cars

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clark police activity from June 18 - 25, 2012:

June 18, 2:02 a.m. – In the vicinity of Thomas Drive, police arrested Michael Kane, age 33, single, an appraiser of 43 Briarwood Path for DWI (driving while intoxicated). Kane was subsequently released pending a court date. Andy Wagner was the arresting officer.

June 20, 8:42 a.m. – In the vicinity of Brant Avenue and Westfield Avenue, police arrested Elijah Gerald, age 26, single, unemployed of 772 McLaughlin Place in Orange on outstanding warrants from West Orange and Hillside totaling $2,030 for contempt of court. Gerald was subsequently turned over to the West Orange Police Department. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

June 20, 8:17 p.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway southbound, police arrested Jaime Estacio, age 31, single, unemployed of 604 Brooke Street in Linden on outstanding warrants totaling $839 from Elizabeth, Linden and Roselle Park for contempt of court. Estacio was subsequently turned over to the Roselle Park Police Department. Joshua Disano was the arresting officer.

June 22, 4:17 p.m. – In the vicinity of 1060 Raritan Road, police arrested Michael Palmer, age 46, single, unemployed of 747 Valley Street in Maplewood for forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. Bail was set at $30,000 and Palmer was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Also arrested was William Hamilton, age 35, unemployed of 30 DuPont Place in Irvington on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $750 from East Orange for contempt of court. Hamilton was subsequently transported to the East Orange Police Department. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.  

June 23, 1:24 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Christopher Cassiere, age 30, single, a labor of 41 Linton Close in Freehold for shoplifting $739 worth of merchandise from the ShopRite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. Also arrested was Christina Salvatore, age 29, single, unemployed of 4A Butternut Mall in Old Bridge. Both individuals were subsequently released pending court dates. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

June 24, 3:41 a.m. – At the Roselle Police Department, police arrested Joseph Gratacos, age 50, single, unemployed of 65 Lawn Terrace in Cranford on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $508 for contempt of court. Gratacos was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Pedro Oliveira was the investigating officer.

June 24, 7:36 a.m. – Police took reports of criminal mischief to motor vehicles which were parked at residences on Thomas Drive, Armstrong Drive and Willow Way. The incidents are under investigation. Marty Venezio was the investigating officer.
