Man Accused of Stealing $2,800 Watch From Crunch Fitness

Richard Kolovyansky, 25, picked up the watch when he saw it on the ground, put it in his pocket and left the gym, police said.

A man who left his $2,800 watch on a piece of workout equipment at Crunch Fitness returned to find it taken, Garwood police report. 

Police said a man picked up the watch on Nov. 6 when he saw it on the ground, put it in his pocket and left the gym, as seen on surveillance video footage.

Police report that through the investigation, Richard Kolovyansky, 25, of Cranford, was identified as the alleged thief.

Kolovyansky was located and taken into custody at his place of employment in Berkeley Heights and the watch was recovered. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and charged with theft. 

Bail was set at $3,500, which Kolovyansky posted and was released with a court date.
