Dog Wash Burglar Caught, Faces Charges in Other Towns, Police Say

Police say Kabir Nunnally, 44, from Newark, broke into the business and stole $450 from the cash register.

A Newark man who allegedly broke into and stole cash from In-N-Out Dog Wash has been arrested, Garwood Police report.

Kabir Nunnally, 44, was at-large after police identified him from In-N-Out's surveillance tapes, but was taken into custody when he was stopped by Newark Police on Nov. 12.

Police initially received a report of the sound of broken glass in the rear of In-N-Out on the night of Oct. 27. They responded and found the rear window of the business had been broken and that entry was made through that window, according to police reports.

Nunnally was able to open the cash drawer and steal $450 before leaving, police said.

Garwood Police then helped the Scotch Plains Police Department link Nunnally to three burglaries and an attempted burglary to downtown businesses, Scotch Plains police report.

Nunnally was also a wanted for burglary in Westfield and Union, and was charged in those towns as well.

Nunnally was charged with burglary and theft and transported to the Union County jail, where he is being held on $75,000 bail.
