Drop Off Unwanted Prescription Drugs at Clark & Garwood Police Departments, April 27

Operation Take Back New Jersey is a joint program in cooperation with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the New Jersey State Attorney General.

Both Clark and Garwood police departments are participating in "Operation Take Back" on Saturday, April 27. Details below.

On Saturday, April 27, 2013, the Clark Police Department will join 380 Law Enforcement agencies across New Jersey in support of Operation Take Back New Jersey, a joint program in cooperation with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the New Jersey State Attorney General.  Citizens are encouraged to bring unused or outdated prescription or over-the-counter drugs to Police Headquarters at 315 Westfield Avenue, Clark, New Jersey between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Officers of the Clark Police Department will be on duty at Headquarters to accept all submissions in a secure container, which will be forwarded to the DEA for safe disposal.  ALL submissions, regardless of source, will be accepted anonymously.

Lt. Vincent Concina will be available on Saturday, April 27, 2013, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to receive those outdated prescriptions.  I encourage every Clark resident to inventory the prescription and over-the-counter drugs in their home and to utilize this valuable service.

This release was received from the Garwood Police Department.

In conjuction with the DEA, Garwood Police will be accepting any perscription or OTC drugs for safe disposal.  On Saturday April 27th, from 10am and 2pm, residents can bring old, outdated or unused perscription and over the counter drugs to Police Headquartes and dispose of them.  There will be a designated container located in the foyer fronting the PD's dispatch window.  If you are physically unable to get to HQ on your own, please call dispatch at 908 789-1500 and a Police Officer will come and pick them up from your home.  All collections will be turned over to the DEA for proper & safe disposal.
