A special comedy fundraiser event to benefit the Garwood PBA Local #117 was recently held at Crossroads in Garwood. The event featured Michael Winslow, The Dumb Kids in the Back and Jerrold Benford. More than 120 attendees came out to support the cause leaving only standing room and $1,000 was raised for the Garwood Police Department that night.

Jerrold Benford started off the night and got the audience in the mood for comedy. The Dumb Kids in the Back, as usual, didn't disappoint. The crowd loved their interactive show and the amount of volunteers to come on stage and perform with them was proof positive. But, the true show stopper was the man they all came to see. Michael Winslow blew the roof off the Crossroads with a 90 minute show that amazed and entertained. Winslow provided the sound effects for everything from Star Wars to Jimmy Hendrix's iconic Woodstock performance. The scenes displayed on his state-of-the-art projector and sound system. What a great night for the police and all who attended.

Later that night, participants who attended enjoyed an awesome two-hour set by Jerseys own, the JJOs band. Thanks to all who attended and supported this great cause.
