Clark Police Search for Potentially Rabid Fox

Two daytime fox encounters were reported on Saturday.

According to Clark Police Captain Alan Scherb, two fox sightings were reported on Saturday near Valley Road and Linda Lane.

"There were two reported separate incidents, one where a fox approached a juvenile and another an adult," Captain Scherb told Patch. "Spotting a fox during the daytime is unusual, which leads us to be concerned that it could be rabid."

According to Scherb, reports of the fox attacking any residents are unconfirmed. Clark police were out searching for the fox but unable to trap it.
