Clark Police Looking for Suspect in TD Bank Robbery

The robbery happened around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night.

Clark Police are looking for a suspect in Thursday night's robbery of TD Bank on the corner of Raritan Road and Westfield Avenue.

According to Clark Police Captain Alan Scherb, a white male handed a teller a note demanding cash around 7:30 p.m. He then made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police searched the area but did not find the suspect.

Scherb describes the suspect as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, with a beard, about 5'9'', wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a gray golf shirt and dark pants. Scherb says no weapon was seen.

Clark Police and the FBI are investigating and are currently reviewing security tapes from businesses in the area.

Scherb says the suspect was the only customer in the bank at the time. He is unsure of how much money the suspect took.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has a tip regarding this incident is encouraged to call Clark Police at 732-388-3439.
