Clark Police Catch Attempted Car Thief After Foot Chase Across the Parkway

The suspect has since been turned over to Woodbridge PD.

Around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Clark Police caught a male suspect who attempted to steal a car in Colonia, according to Chief Alan Scherb.

According to Woodbridge PD, a Colonia man had been at Colonia Middle School to cast his vote. When the voter emerged from the polling place, he found the suspect seated in his car, where he was allegedly trying to steal the vehicle. The victim protested, the suspect threw a punch at him, then fled on foot

Scherb said the department was called in after Woodbridge Police said they were in a foot pursuit of the suspect near the Clark border.
