'National Night Out' Comes to Clark on Saturday

The free event is open to all Clark residents and their families and will offer food and refreshments.

The Clark PBA Local 125 will host its first "National Night Out" at police headquarters on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

The free event is open to all Clark residents and their families and will offer hot dogs, Italian ice and refreshments. Clark officers will be on hand to provide residents with ways to safeguard their homes and neighborhoods.

"National Night Out is a great crime prevention tool that encourages you and your neighbors to get together," PBA Delegate Brian Soos said. "When neighbors know each other and pay attention to their surroundings, they are more likely to recognize and report suspicious people or vehicles to law enforcement. The more you know about your neighborhood, the more you can do to keep it safe."

National Night Out is recognized in most communities on Tuesday.
