Lillian was born on February 7th, 1921 in Buffalo, New York and grew up in Paterson, New Jersey.  She was a loyal resident of Garwood, NJ for over 60 years and communicant of Saint Anne’s Church until she moved to her final home at the Chelsea Independent Living in Fanwood and became a member of Saint Bartholomew’s parish in Scotch Plains.

Lillian was a working mom as a legal secretary, specializing in estate administration at the Westfield law firm of Davidson, Buttermore and Mullen until she retired at the age of 75 to help care for her granddaughter, Gina.  Lillian loved cooking and entertaining for family and friends and always made 315 Oak Street open to her children’s friends as a place to gather.  She enjoyed reciting poetry, reading, playing cards, visiting the Chadwick beach house and watching General Hospital.  At 92 she played a good game of Scrabble, was a huge fan of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Marching Band and looked forward to attending the Saturday football games.
