Trunk-or-Treat, Haunted House Get Clark Residents in Halloween Spirit

Clark Rec's first trunk-or-treat and second-annual haunted house brought out hundreds of costumed residents.

Clark Recreation, together with the Clark PBA, held the first Trunk-or-Treat for Clark residents at the ALJ High School parking lot on Saturday. About 60 cars decorated their trunks and filled them with candy for more than 500 children trick-or-treating.

Clark Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo said a special thanks to Shop Rite and Target of Clark for supplying the trunks with more candy when participants started to run out. Clark Police Captain Jim Rapp and Bernardo ran the event.

Clark Recreation also held the second Annual Haunted House at the Robinson Plantation and Museum on Saturday night. More than 450 people attended and walked through the Haunted House, received free donuts, apple cider and pumpkins. They then had the chance to visit and walk through the museum circa-1690.

"Everyone who attended received a friendly fright," said Bernardo. "Special thanks to the ALJ Key Club kids who dressed up and walked around scaring people while also serving refreshments."
