Pumpkin Carving Contest Returns to Garwood

Calling pumpkin pros, jacks of all jack-o-lanterns, crafty carvers—this one's for you.

The Garwood Celebrations Committee will be conducting the Second Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4-5 p.m. outside of Lincoln School on Second Avenue.

The street will be blocked for this event, which will be going on just prior to the Trick or Trunk event run by the PTA. Residents of all ages will be able to submit a pre-carved or decorated pumpkin for judging.

All participants will receive a full size candy bar and have the chance of winning either a first or second place prize for their age group. The 5 age groups will be from Pre-K to 1st Grade, 2nd to 4th Grade, 5th to 8th Grade, High School, and Adult. First place winners will receive a $25 Dunkin Donuts gift card and second place winners will receive a $10 Dunkin Donuts gift card.
