Raise Funds For ALJ Alumni Association Scholarships at Chili's, Barnes & Noble

The Arthur L. Johnson Alumni Association, which awards two $1,000 scholarships to each year's graduating class, is planning a "Give Back" night fundraiser at Chili's Restaurant. Chili's is donating 10 percent of each bill, which is accompanied by the attached flyer. If you are in the area between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, stop in and have lunch, a snack or dinner and present the waiter/waitress with the flyer. The association will benefit from your presence and your donation. 

In addition, Barnes and Noble will conduct a “Book Fair” with surprise guest readers from the District's administration and Alumni association. They will give back 10-15 percent of the sales, which are accompanied by the flyer on Sunday, Nov. 17 and Monday, Nov. 18.  

Based on feedback from members, the association will hold its first night meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 5:30 p.m. at ALJ. A light dinner menu will be served for those alumni in attendance. The dinner will be followed by the high school's fall production, "Dark of the Moon."
