Garwood Lions Club to Host Senior Picnic

The Garwood Lions Club is hosting its annual Lions Club Senior Citizen Picnic on Sept. 8 at the Garwood Knights of Columbus.

The Garwood Lions Club has extended an invitation to all borough senior citizens to attend the annual "Lions Club Senior Citizens Picnic" which will be taking place on Saturday, September 8th, at the Garwood Knights of Columbus Hall located at the foot of Willow Avenue in Garwood.  The menu  will include hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, homemade clam chowder, beer  on tap, soda and dessert. Serving will begin at noon and the event will take place rain or shine. Music will be provided for dancing. Admission is free to all seniors.

Though the Lions are best known for recycling eyeglasses, this international service organization also sponsors the boroughs annual Halloween parade and many youth activities.  To learn more about Lionism and obtain information about membership, please call Peggy Briggs at (l908) 654-4977.
