Harlem Wizards Return to Clark, Will Face Team Coached by Mayor

The Wizards take to the court versus Clark teachers and local VIPs, Dec. 6.

Trick-hoops, alley-oops and a unique version of comedy, athleticism and entertainment for all ages are all returning to Clark’s Arthur L. Johnson High School gym on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.  The Harlem Wizards, a flashy, awe-inspiring team of basketball exhibition pros, will take on our own “Clark All Stars,” a team comprised of popular teachers from all Clark schools, coaches, community leaders, and more, all led by “Coach Sal,” the mayor.

The goal of this entertaining event is to raise funds for the Clark Education Fund’s educational grants. All profits will go back into Clark Schools to support education through financial grants for innovative educational materials, programs and technology that supplement learning in the classroom.

This is family entertainment for all ages and a chance to come out and support education, local teachers and community leaders. There will be free prizes, raffles and a chance to meet Wizards players and get their autographs. Souvenirs, programs and Wizards basketballs will be available for purchase, and the Wizards players promise to stay as long as necessary to make sure every autograph is signed.

As a preview, Clark elementary through high school students will have a chance to meet a Harlem Wizards star at school on Monday, Dec. 2 during assemblies and lunch periods.

All tickets are $12. They may be purchased via order forms sent home through the schools, (see attachment) from Ralph Bernardo at the Clark Recreation Center or by emailing Lech717@comcast.net. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the event, but last year’s Harlem Wizards exhibition was a sellout. Some unlucky guests had to be turned away at the door, so make sure to get your tickets early.
