NAMI Union County is again offering the Family to Family Education Program beginning on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 7:00 pm. This 12 week program is free of charge and includes all necessary materials. The course meets from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Thursday evenings at St. Agnes Church 332 Madison Hill Road, Clark in the Fr. Whelan Room. You do not have to be a NAMI member to take the course. Parents, siblings, spouses, teen aged and adult children and significant others of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness are invited to participate. The program is not appropriate for individuals who, themselves, suffer from one of the major mental disorders. In a confidental setting, participants will learn how to understand and support their ill loved one while maintaining their own well-being. Treatment options and coping skills will be discussed. Other topics include advocacy, fighting stigma and problem solving. Registration is required prior to the beginning of the course. Please contact Antoinette at 908-245-6305 for more information and to enroll.
