What's Closed on Memorial Day

Planning for Memorial Day? Patch has you covered with holiday closings.

This Monday, May 28, is Memorial Day, which is observed as both a state and federal holiday to commemorate Americans who have died in war.

While this holiday marks the beginning of summer and many will celebrate with flags, flowers, and a good ol’ American barbecue, most state and federal institutions will be closed, and public transportation will run on an irregular schedule.
