Don't Miss the Geminids Meteor Shower Tonight

Tonight starting at 10 p.m., put on something warm, grab some hot cocoa and head outside to catch a glimpse of the last major meteor shower of the year.

The annual Geminids meteor shower will be in peak viewing time for the east coast starting at 10 p.m. EST and continuing until 4 a.m. Wednesday.

According to NASA, the Geminids is the best annual meteor shower-- with 80-120 visible meteors per hour on a night with clear skies. Tonight, the brightness of the moon will put somewhat of a damper on the view, but star-gazers can still expect to see as many as 40 meteors per hour.
