371 Franklin Ave Belleville NJ 07109  See map

You are invited to join the Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition at our special breakfast for new members beginning at 10 am, on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Brix in Belleville, NJ.

ONE VOICE President Andre' DiMino will present an overview of ONE VOICE's triumphs over bias and its never-ending challenges.  Other speakers will include Italian American author, TV and radio newsman Frank Cipolla, and many prominent guests.

"Italian Americans are being subjected to an accelerating attack of negative stereotyping and denigration,” DiMino stated.  “Now, more than ever, it is crucial to join together and combat negative stereotyping and make a unified statement.   If we don't speak up for ourselves, then who will?  We must fight back and encourage the presentation of positive images in the media of all the great things Italian Americans have done.”

Among the group's triumphs over bias, DiMino will outline ONE VOICE's successful battle to restore Columbus Day in the City of Paterson, success in lobbying to revoke the NJ state tax credit granted to MTV's "Jersey Shore," victory in keeping racist cartoonist Thomas Nast out of the NJ Hall of Fame, and more.

DiMino will also present an update of new shows and other items that are stereotyping Italian Americans, and go over ONE VOICE's rapid response strategy in fighting back.
