Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Where to go for traditional corned beef, cabbage and beer today – and some great wine next week.

  1. Everybody is Irish at heart on March 17th. Clark and Garwood eateries have several St. Patty’s Day specials: , Clark’s own Irish pub, offers a hearty Irish menu all day; you can enjoy corned beef and cabbage and $1.50 drafts today at the ; and in Garwood plans an all night party. In Cranford: come early, stay late at . The celebration begins at 10 a.m. and goes all day and night. Enjoy traditional food, live Irish music with Dave McBride, bagpipers, Irish step dancers and more.
  2. Bowlers, you need not be Irish to enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day special at today.  Their March 17th package includes two games, shoes, and beer or soda for just $17. Lanes are available all day and evening.
  3. Today the Clark Library invites teens in grades 6 through 12 to come by at 3:00 to make a . Call or register online to reserve your space.
  4. Tickets for the Clark Education Fund’s , Clark’s annual Spring social on March 25th, are on sale now and going fast.  Buy tickets in person at or mail your ticket order form, available at www.clarkeducationfund.org, by tomorrow to get the advance sale ticket price.  Delicious appetizers, dinner, dessert, door prizes and of course a broad selection of wine and spirits are included. 
  5. The meets today at noon at the Garwood Fire House Meeting Room.  All local seniors are welcome.
