Five Things You Need to Know Today, March 2

Dr. Seuss, spring classes, PTA and more

  1. Happy Dr. Seuss Day!  In classrooms across the U.S., Dr. Suess’ birthday is celebrated through the NEA’s “Read Across America Day” with stories, parties, games and guest readers.  Special Dr. Seuss events are also planned tonight at the from 4:30 to 7 p.m.  Take a few moments to share your love of books by reading with a child today.  
  2.  is now accepting registrations for spring 2011 adult and children's  programs.  Information on programs will be distributed through the schools or you can stop at the Recreation Center to register or learn full program details.
  3. 's monthly PTA meeting will begin tonight at 7 p.m.
  4. Love to sing?  Become a star tonight at at The Crossroads in Garwood at 9 p.m.  Enjoy free admission, entertainment and drink specials all night.
  5. Develop your inner artist. The is now accepting registration for spring day and evening classes for adults and after school programs for children. Classes include drawing, painting, stained glass, sculpture and many more.
