Amazing Family Day Events all day at the State Theatre of NJ

PRESIDENTS DAY IS FAMILY DAY—on February 21, 2011!
Spend your holiday at and around the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ with your family under the Herr's Hub City Big Top and at three theaters on Livingston Avenue.

  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar:  Treat your young ones to a delightful glow-in-the-dark puppetry performance of Eric Carle’s classic stories.
  • Julie Pasqual, storyteller:  A State Theatre favorite, Julie brings lively, engaging tales from around the world. Lots of audience participation.
  • StarFish:  They call themselves “The Greatest Rock Band in the World… For Kids!” We’re inclined to agree.
  • New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble: Come and meet the dancing feet of these talented hoofers, in a high-energy, interactive program.
  • Zoo on Wheels by The Philadelphia Zoo:   Learn about animals and habitat conservation from the Philadelphia Zoo’s naturalists, who will be bringing along some of their furry, feathered, and scaly friends.
  • Arts & Crafts and Dance Workshops:  Make a character mask; Page to Stage theatre workshop; Intro to Improv; Hand in Hand; Intro to Ballet; Dancing with Eric Carle; Hip Hop Dance; Design a Picture Frame or Animal Visor.
  • And More...FREE Balloon Animals & Face Painting; Costumed Characters; DJ Rob Porter; Sweets & Snacks; Games
