WESTFIELD AREA Y’S 90TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION A HUGE SUCCESS

On Sunday, September 15th, the Westfield Area Y hosted a 90th Anniversary celebration both inside and outside the Main Y Facility in Westfield.  The event followed Greta’s Run, a 5K Run/Walk in memory of Greta Schoenemann.

Over 600 people came out to enjoy a variety of free activities such as the climbing wall and bounce houses, face painters, art activities and Healthy U activities. There were prizes on the Wheel of Y Trivia and giveaways as well as refreshments.

The Y is so grateful to have had a special visit at the celebration from Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz and Assemblyman Jon Bramnick who presented the Westfield Area Y with a Joint Legislative Resolution honoring the Westfield Area Y for its many years of service to the community.

Special thanks to the Westfield Food Pantry for hosting a food drive at the event and to the vendors who made contributions.
