WESTFIELD AREA Y FALL 2 PROGRAMS WILL INSPIRE YOU TO AIM HIGHER

The Westfield Area Y’s Fall 2 session program registration begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 10th for Gold and Silver members and at 7:30 am, Monday, October 14th for Program and Non-Members. The Fall 2 Session runs from October 27th– December 21st.

New classes this session include: Junior Leaders Club, Kid Fit, Modern Dance, R.I.P.P.E.D (total body high-intensity class) and Adult Masters Swim Program.

Special Health Groups this fall include: Cancer Exercise Program; Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms; Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program; Aquatics for People with Disabilities; Special Population Training and Fitchecks; and Exercise for Everyone Plus.

There is something for everyone this fall. Active Adults can come together and discuss current and classic literature or play bridge together. NEW this fall is Way to a Healthy Back for Adults in which AmeriCare Physical Therapy provides the knowledge and tools to put you in control of your back and neck. Lunch and Learns such as “Tech Talk” and“What you Don’t Know about Medicare” and a Hunterdon Hills Playhouse Trip are great opportunities for adults to get together, learn and make new friends.

The Y continues to offer swim lessons and competitive swim teams.

If you need help with childcare, the Y offers a wide selection of childcare options to accommodate your needs. With programs in Westfield, Mountainside, Garwood, and Cranford, the Y is convenient and flexible to your busy schedule.

The Westfield Area Y also offers a wide variety of youth sports programs ranging from basketball, climbing, soccer, and cheerleading to Tae Kwon Do, t-ball, fencing and modern dance. Participants in the Y’s Flyers Cross Country Track Club learn proper distance running technique and build cardiovascular endurance through interval training, games and drills.
