MAKE HEALTHY CONNECTIONS THIS WINTER AT THE WESTFIELD AREA Y

The Westfield Area Y’s winter session priority registration for members begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 12th for Gold and Silver members and at 7:30 am, Monday, December 16th for Program and Non-Members. The Winter Session runs from January 5th – March 1st.

New programs this session include: Small Group Personal Training Session, R.I.P.P.E.D. – The One Stop Body Shock™ and Junior Leaders Club.

Special Health Groups this winter include: Aquatics for People with Disabilities; Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms; Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program; Project Healthy Bones and Exercise for Everyone Plus.

There is something for everyone this winter. Active Adults can come together and play bridge. Lunch and Learns such as “Healthy Meal Options for One” and “Make a Terrarium” are great opportunities for adults to get together, learn and make new friends.

A variety of free nutrition programs and health education and screenings (some may be fee based) will also be offered this session.

The Y continues to offer swim lessons and competitive swim teams.

If you need help with childcare, the Y offers a wide selection of childcare options to accommodate your needs. With programs in Westfield, Mountainside, Garwood, and Cranford, the Y is convenient and flexible to your busy schedule.

The Westfield Area Y also offers a wide variety of youth sports programs ranging from basketball, climbing, soccer, and cheerleading to Tae Kwon Do, t-ball, fencing and ballet.

Summer day camp registration begins in January with traditional, sports and specialty camps being offered. New camps for Summer 2014 include: Cross Country Clinic, Track & Field Clinic, Ultimate Frisbee and Skill Sharpeners.
