Networking Event at GolfCave, Garwood Redevelopment Talks

What's happening today in Clark and Garwood.

Open house networking event at GolfCave: Business professionals are invited to network for a cause at this open house event on Tuesday night that includes golfing, giveaways, entertainment, contests and prizes. A $5 entrance fee goes to prostate cancer research. 

Garwood council meets: Garwood council meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday for their second September meeting. On the agenda is a resolution to "undertake a preliminary investigation to determine whether the area in the Borough of Garwood is an area in need of redevelopment."

Free healthy cooking class: RWJ Rahway Fitness in Scotch Plains talks "Freekah, Faro and More Ancient Grains" at a free, open-to-the-public cooking class at 7 p.m. Diane Weeks, registered dietician and chef, will show you how to prepare different types of grains as main dishes, sides and salads. Learn how grains like faro, quinoa, and freekah fill you up and provide important nutrients and fiber. Program provides samples, recipes, tips and techniques.
