Union County's "Great Pumpkin Sail" at Echo Lake

$6.00
THE GREAT PUMPKIN SAIL…returns to Union County’s Echo Lake Park on Nov. 1. One of the most popular events of the year, tickets routinely sell out.
At this annual event, on the day after Halloween, families bring their Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns, light them, and set them afloat on Echo Lake Park's lower lake. Happy, scary, funny and outrageous faces reflect in the water as families enjoy free hot chocolate, marshmallows, and entertainment around the campfire.
Tickets go on sale starting Oct. 1 and must be purchased in person and in advance. There is a limit of two tickets per person. One ticket ($6 in-county; $12 non-county residents) admits a family of four. Additional family member tickets can be purchased for $1.
No refunds, exchanges or group sales. Tickets will be sold daily at Trailside Nature and Science Center, from Noon to 5 p.m. and at the Union County Administration Building, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays only.
There are three pumpkin sail sessions families may register for:
- 5:15 to 6:30 p.m.
- 6:45 to 8:00 p.m.
- 8:15 to 9:30 p.m.

I would love to create this event in my town of Acton, MA. Would you share how it's done...where do you get the floats..how much preperation...how do you gather up the pumpkins after...volunteers needed...where do the proceeds go?
