DESCRIPTION:The Hearing Society resumed weekly speech (lip) reading sessi
 ons starting Thursday\, September 15 at the First Baptist Church in West
 field.\nClasses meet every Thursday from September through May. Coffee a
 nd light refreshments are served.\nAudiologist Dr. Anne Michele Pugliesi
  also provides strategies for coping with hearing loss and techniques fo
 r improved communication. Attendees also enjoy occasional social gatheri
 ngs\, support sessions and pot-luck luncheons throughout the year.\nAnyo
 ne interested in joining the group can call 908-232-6546. The Hearing So
 ciety\, a local not-for-profit organization serving people with impaired
  hearing\, also announces that it is continuing to provide academic scho
 larships to area residents pursuing higher education after graduation fr
 om high school.
