: Deerfield School in Mountainside proudly announces their Spring Theatre Production of “Once Upon A Mattress.” The play features music by Mary Rodgers, daughter of Richard Rodgers, of Rodgers and Hammerstein fame, lyrics by Marshall Barer, and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer.
This “Getting to Know” production, an abbreviated version of the musical, is leased through permission from Hal Leonard. It is a humorous and charming re-telling of the classic fairytale, Princess and the Pea, and includes some off-the-wall characters, intriguing songs, and lots of laughs.
Show dates are March 9 and 10, with a special preview for our Senior Citizen Community on March 8, by invitation only. Curtain is at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are available at the door $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens. For more information contact: 732-986-4206.

More About Deerfield School
Deerfield is often referred to as "the center of town" in Mountainside. The school educates students in grades 3-8 and it strives to create a balance between rigorous academic achievement and enrichment opportunities before, during and after school within the community.
