BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID;X-RICAL-TZSOURCE=TZINFO:-//com.denhaven2/NONSGML ri_cal gem//EN CALSCALE:GREGORIAN VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT DESCRIPTION:The Clark Recreation Sports Broadcasting Camp Returns for a S econd Year.\nMiddle school and high school students have the unique oppo rtunity to learn about the world of sports broadcasting when Clark Recre ation conducts their second annual Sports Broadcasting Camp from June 25 -29\, 2012 at the Clark Recreation Center on Westfield Avenue\, Clark.\n The Clark Recreation Sports Broadcasting Camp is open to all students\, male or female\, ages 11-and-older. \; Over the course of the camp w eek\, students gain insight into areas such as play-by-play\, sports tal k show hosting\, TV anchoring techniques\, game preparation\, writing an d interviewing skills\, professional presentation\, and more. \; Spe cial guest lecturers that include several big-name area broadcasters\, o n-camera activities\, and hands-on instruction\, are all a part of the d aily schedule. \; Practice assignments lead up to the two main proje cts\, hosting a five minute sportscast and calling play-by-play of a Som erset Patriots minor league baseball game. \; Campers will also rece ive a DVD at the end of the week featuring all of their on-camera work.\ nProminent national and local sports personalities visit the camp includ ing: Matt Loughlin (WFAN)\, Kenny Albert (FOX/ESPN Radio)\, Frank DeGrac i (YES Network)\, former Seton Hall women&rsquo\;s basketball coach Phyl lis Mangina\, Doug Doyle (WBGO)\, Dave Popkin (NEC/WABC/ESPN Regional/MS G Varsity)\, Adam Amin (Somerset Patriots/ESPN)\, and many others.\nThe camp is instructed by Craig D&rsquo\;Amico and Danny Breslauer. \; D &rsquo\;Amico is an elementary school substitute teacher in the Clark di strict and has served as an on air talent with Pack Network and the Nort heast Conference since 2008.
