Cub Scout Pack 145 of Clark, (along with Packs from Cranford, Springfield and Kenilworth), went camping at BSA Mt. Allamuchy Camp Site in Stanhope, NJ this past weekend. This camping trip was a special weekend dedicated to George Hoffman, a dear member of the Boy Scout family who passed away August 19th of this year. Mr. Hoffman was an active member of The Boy Scouts of America, and The Marines Toys for Tots Foundation. He also served in the USMC. It was a very emotional and moving weekend, starting off with a flag being flown in his honor, and being retired Saturday evening at the Council fire ceremony. All cub scouts in attendance has a great weekend. It was the "belt loop bonanza" whereas scouts had the opportunity to earn belt loops in map & compass, hiking, fishing, flag football and volleyball. Over 80 members of Cub Scout Pack 145 were in attendance for this special weekend. All scouts received a commemorative patch honoring George Hoffman. .......
