On dress rehearsal night, we got up close and personal with the cast and crew.

They're a little nervous, definitely excited, but mostly, the cast and crew of Arthur L. Johnson's spring musical Evita are ready to show off their months of hard work.

On dress rehearsal night, we went behind the scenes to get the inside scope on why this year's show is so special.

“These students have been working overtime to give theater-goers a unique and memorable theatrical experience, the likes of which have never been seen before on the ALJ stage," says Nevargic.

Evita follows the life of the controversial First Lady of Argentina from her roots as a child of illegitimacy, to her “questionable” rise to radio and B-movie stardom, to becoming one of the most charismatic and influential women of the 20th century.  Her story, with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is told entirely through song and blends Latin, jazz, and pop influences.
