Clark Council meets on Monday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Room and the meeting will include introduction of the budget. See a PDF of the agenda in our gallery, right.

Also on Monday, Kean University continues the Premiere Artists series as Academy Award-winning actor and civics activist Richard Dreyfuss visits. Premiere Artists is a project of Premiere Stages, the professional Actors’ Equity Association theatre in residence at Kean University. Dreyfuss begins the day at 2 p.m. with an hour-long lecture focusing on the importance of civics education in public schools. From 3:20 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. Mr. Dreyfuss will lead a discussion with Kean Department of Theatre students and will also take questions concerning the evolution of acting. The day culminates in a staged reading of the play, The Commandant by Frederic Morton, starring Dreyfuss at 7 p.m. 

On Wednesday, March 7, the Clark Fire Department and the Blood Center of New Jersey are hosting a blood drive at the Broadway Firehouse on Wednesday  between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. All donors will receive a $10 ShopRite gift card. 

On Thursday, March 8, the Windsor Diner presents the "Jersey Shore Blues Sounds" of the Chuck Lambert Band. Doors open for seating and dinner service starting at 6 p.m. The show runs from 7 - 9 p.m. and tickets are $29.95 which includes choice of special dinner entree, dessert and beverage plus wine tasting. Additional bar service available. On Sunday, March 11, the Clark Library is offering a fossil dig. Join John Miller of the Pearl Observatory and find your own fossils right in the library. This event will be held today at 2:30 p.m. and registration is required.  Whatever you find, you keep. Fossils are up to 20 million years old. For ages kindergarten and up.
