POLL: What's The Toughest Part About Sending The Kids Back To School?

Cast your vote below, and tell us what challenges you face while getting your kids ready for the first day of school.

For most schools in the state, school begins this week.

For students, that means waking up early and doing homework in the afternoon instead of playing or hanging out with friends. For parents, it presents a whole other set of challenges that range from buying new school supplies and clothes to adjusting work schedules in order to get kids to class and afterschool activities.

In the Patch poll below, we're asking parents what their biggest challenges are - or if theyre unphased by the entire yearly ritual.

Has anybody else noticed how the amount of traffic has increased this week. Whatever happened to the good ol' days when kids walked, rode bikes, or RODE THE BUS to school! I religiously avoid the school areas when it's quitting time. Between all the "mommy-mobiles" and the crossing gaurds, the traffic is a mess!
Why, back in my day..............!!

Adjusting to a lot of homework after school which needs parent assistance. Leaves very little family or play time. It's school, homework, dinner, showers, bedtime.. Difficult for single parent or two working parents.
