Other Facts
Novak moved to Clark about a year and a half ago from Rahway and is originally from Linden.
"My fiancee has two beautiful daughters and Clark has a good school system, it's a great community, it's safe," Novak told Patch. "We wanted to make sure when we did this move it was into a community where we felt comfortable raising his kids. I like the intimacy of Clark, and I’m a very strong proponent against Clark overdevelopment."
"I'm running for council because I grew up in a very safe community and I want to make sure my stepchildren and future children are afforded the same luxury," says Novak. "You can’t throw stones and place blame if you don’t do anything to get involved. So instead of being a bystander and hoping that’s the way things turn out, I found it’s better to get in mix of things and roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty to ensure that a good outcome is the result."
Novak says she'd like to especially focus on Clark's elderly community and making sure their needs are met. "Not every older person has someone to take care of them and I'd like to raise more awareness and put some sort of plan in place for lowcost handyman services for senior citizens," says Novak.
