The Michael C. Denora Foundation of Clark, whose mission is to help children battling cancer, held its Third Annual “A Night of Laughs” Fundraising Event on October 13. The night was a huge success thanks to family and friends supporting this event year after year. There were great comedians, food, outrageous prizes, and lots of laughs produced by Robin Fox Productions of Bridgewater.

Since incorporating as a non-profit organization in 2009, the foundation has focused on raising funds to help local children battling cancer at the Pediatric Cancer Institute in New Brunswick and coordinating needs with Embrace Kids Foundation.

As our foundation support grows, we have been able to expand our help to these very special children. New for 2011, was the creation of the Embrace Kids – Michael C. Denora Scholarship Program. Thru coordinated efforts, Ryan Berardi was selected as the first recipient of the Michael C. Denora Scholarship award. Ryan is attending the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.  New for 2012 , is the Michael C. Denora Wish program focused on granting two types of wishes. First Wishes for young adults ages 18 – 21 diagnosed with childhood cancer that don’t qualify for wishes thru other organizations and Second Wishes for children ages 13 – 21 that have relapsed.  These wishes will be coordinated with Embrace Kids and the Pediatric Oncology unit at the Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital.
