Lawyer Says Pecoraro's Sons Were Close With Their Mother, Are Fully Cooperating With Police
Matthew Dorsi, lawyer for Michael and Theodore Pecoraro, talks with Patch.
Matthew Dorsi, lawyer for Michael and Theodore Pecoraro, says the two are fully cooperating with the investigation into their mother's homicide.
"They’re beside themselves," Dorsi told Patch. "They're trying to figure out whatever happened to their mother and are assisting the prosecutor's office in any way, shape or form. The family has been devastated by this senseless act and wants nothing more than to bring the person or persons responsible to justice."
Dorsi said all three brothers (Anthony Pecoraro is the another of Vera's sons) have spoken with police, though he could only speak to Patch on behalf of Michael and Theodore. In a statement to the press, Dorsi added that Anthony has not been a part of the family business for over a year.
Dorsi says all three sons were extremely close with their mother.
"They would have some sort of contact, either in person or over the phone, with their mother every day," said Dorsi.
Dorsi said the Pecoraro family would also like to thank the family, friends and community members who have supported the family in the days since Vera's death.
"It's a testament to how well-liked their mother is in the community," said Dorsi.
