Outages are expected to continue to rise throughout the night. Heavy snow on leaves can cause branches and trees to fall. So far more than 280,000 outages across the state.

Lots of downed trees in the Southwyck development on the south side of town. Fortunately, power is running as normal.

We were told Tuesday at the earliest. On 101.9 they said most likely not until the end of the week.

We lost a tree and many, many branches. Too many for us to handle and we'll have to call in a tree expert to help us. Slight damage to our home and garage.

With many schools closing for the day tomorrow, be sure to keep the kids out of harm's way. Whether it's weakened branches that could fall or downed power lines, make sure they stay safe! Do you think it'd be wise to postpone trick-or-treating until all the power lines are secured?

I know last thing kids would want to hear is trick-or-treating being postponed but there are so many power lines down I'm worried about kids trick-or-treating tomorrow.

I think it would be a great idea to postpone trick or treating in New Providence until Friday. I read that is what Summit is doing.

We live on Spruce and I saw a power line snap and fall in the road. Then a mini-van drove by, the power line got hooked on the car and pulled the line out of the power box on the poll and was laying in the road. Then tree branches fell on it so I don't know if anyone saw that power line there. Also 2 other lines hanging in the middle of the street. I don't think they are power though since we have power maybe phone?
