Garwood's Westwood Gives Away $50,000 to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Jillian Pomponio of Colonia won the $25,000 grand prize.

The Westwood is celebrating its 50th Anniversary during 2012 and to honor this milestone hosted a contest boasting a grand prize of an event valued at $25,000. Contestants submitted an essay explaining why they deserved to win.

On July 2, the Westwood announced the grand-prize winner of the contest - Jillian Pomponio of Colonia.

In addition to the slated grand prize award, the Westwood was moved by so many of the entrant stories that they decided to grant four additional prizes. StreetLight Mission of Elizabeth and David Braine of Edison received $5,000 toward an event of their choice.
