ALJ Graduates Talk Future Plans
Members of the class of 2012 tell us about their plans for next year.
The 2012 senior class of Arthur L. Johnson High School was celebrated on June 19as family and friends cheered them on into the next chapter of their lives.
From excelling in the classroom to playing together on the field, the class of 2012 has made their way through high school in triumphant fashion.
Danny Mullin, a fresh graduate of Johnson, appreciates what his high school experience has provided him with.
“ALJ did a great job preparing me for school, I believe I have all the skills I need now to make it through college.” Mullin said. Mullin intends to major in mathematics at the University of Maryland in the fall.
Michaela Oliveira, an ALJ graduate who is attending Caldwell College in the fall, is eager to start her work as a nursing major.
“I love being able to help people and most importantly I love being around kids, that's why I choose the nursing program so I could become a nurse and specialize in pediatric or in neonatal,” Oliveira said.
Oliveira credits her passion for nursing to her love of biology and anatomy that she developed while attending ALJ.
Nicole Imbriaco, a former ALJ field hockey player, will be headed to Rutgers University in the fall as a new member of the Scarlet Knights field hockey team.
“Going from a high school program to a Division 1 program is a huge jump but I know that my coach Ms. Anderson has really helped prepare me over the past four years,” Imbriaco said.
In addition to dedicated her time to the athletic program, Imbriaco plans on double majoring in finance and business analytics/information technology.
