The president of the ALJ Alumni Association, Art Lundgren, has recently received donations from the Clark UNICO and the Class of 1962. UNICO member and alumni board member, Henry Varriano presented the association with $100 check to help it maintain its website, www.aljalumni.org., while Ginny Cozzi and Lois Roth from the Class of '62 Reunion Committee presented a check for $800 in support of the association's scholarship fund.
The ALJ Alumni Association was founded by two Class of '59 alums, Tom McManamy and Art Lundgren. It is officially recognized by the Clark Board of Education, and its sole purpose is to provide educational and financial support to the high school and its students. Last year the association presented two $1000 scholarships to deserving seniors. This spring the annual scholarship luncheon will be held at a local restaurant, with the proceeds going to support the fund.
Other board members include Susan(Bakum)Carovillano, Gary Hunsinger, Bettyann(Hollander)Tortorello, Delores(Fracasso)Toth, Eleanor(Airey)Cosgrove, Ken Maragni, Rick Delmonaco, Colleen Gialanella, and Frank Stebbins.
